The best way to learn about our activities is by reading the Dux Club newsletter, as programmes and times vary. However, story time is offered year-round and school activities are offered most school holidays. See below for a sample of what we currently or previously have offered. Join us on Thursday at 10am for our story time, it lasts approximately 20-30 minutes and is followed by a colouring activity or special project.

Special Programmes and Events

Muffledux offers a range of special programmes throughout the year, including author talks and readings, reading groups for kids and school holiday activities.

Previous author visits and speakers at Muffledux have included Baby Love author Robin Barker, Positive Food for Kids author Dr Jenny O’Dea, local pediatrician and author of Baby on Board Dr Howard Chilton, and Old Tom author and illustrator Leigh Hobbs.

Past school holiday activities have included toddler yoga, painting classes, writing classes, and pizza and pages sessions.

In our reading groups, members meet monthly to discuss a previously assigned book and to participate in related activities to encourage the love of reading and writing. Groups are divided into age and reading ability and interest. Books are selected by the convener and are chosen to provide an enriching reading experience.
